Installing Mods (Game Mods)

When you're logged into TCADMIN, press the "Game Mods" button. Click on the dropdown next to "Mod to Install". You will be presented with a list of all available modpacks.* Select the one you want to run on your server. Once it is selected, an important notice might appear in the "Comments/Instructions" section, with any information you need to know before installing the modpack.

The most common thing you would have to do is change your "Server type" within McMyAdmin (MCMA). To do this, go back to your game panel, hit "McMyAdmin," and enter your log in information. Next, select the "Configuration" pane, and then the "Server Settings" tab. The "Server type" option is the fourth option down. Change it appropriately using the dropdown, and then hit "Install." Don't worry if a notice pops up saying that MCMA can't install this mod; you will install it using the "Game Mods" menu.

Exit MCMA, and go back to "Game Mods." Select your mod again, ensure that "Overwrite Files" is ticked, and hit "Install". Your game server will be disabled while your modpack is installed. Depending on the mod, this could take a while.** Once your server is no longer disabled, you should be able to start it, and log into MCMA. Check the console to ensure that your modpack is functioning properly.

As always, if you need help, please don't hesitate to open a support ticket. Be sure to include as much information as possible, including configuration and log files, if needed.

* If the modpack you want is not listed, you can install it manually [See Below], or contact staff via support ticket, and they will install it for you. Please make sure to state which modpack you want.

** If your server is disabled longer than you think it should be, please contact staff, and we will look into the issue for you.

Installing Mods (Manually)

If the modpack you want does not appear under the "Game Mods" menu, it is possible to install the mods manually via the file manager.* First, make sure that your "Server type" is set to ForgeMod in McMyAdmin (MCMA). To do this, go to your game panel, hit "McMyAdmin," and enter your log in information. Next,  select the "Configuration" pane, and then the "Server Settings" tab. The "Server type" option is the fourth option down. You will need to change it appropriately depending on the mod you wish to install, Feed the Beast and Spigot requires it to be set to ForgeMod though.

Exit MCMA, stop your server, and open "File Manager" from your game panel. Before you can upload your modpack, you must make sure it is properly prepared. Download the modpack to your computer, and unzip it. Create a new archive containing only the "config," "coremods," and "mods" folders. If you believe your modpack requires any of the other files or folders to run, feel free to upload them, but they are most likely not needed. Ensure that you do not upload any executable files or scripts, as these are not allowed. If you upload a "server.jar" or comparable file, make sure the name is changed to "ForgeMod.jar."

Once you have made a .zip archive with the appropriate files, you may then upload it. Before you unzip your archive, delete any already existing "config," "coremods," and "mods" folders, as well as any other files contained in your archive. When the delete is finished, unzip your archive. Exit "File Manager," and start your server. Log into MCMA, and check the console to make sure your mods loaded properly.

As always, if you need help, please don't hesitate to open a support ticket. Be sure to include as much information as possible, including configuration and log files, if needed.

* You can also open a support ticket stating which modpack you want installed, if you are not comfortable doing it yourself. Please note that this may take time, and will not be done until we get to processing your ticket.
